Log In Your Own Eye
Log In Your Own Eye By: Vashti Graham Artist Description: This painting illustrates one of Jesus’s parables about self reflection and humility. It reminds us how easy it is to point out the faults in others while ignoring our own. The man’s anger and judgment are clouded by the massive “log” blinding his vision, while Jesus looks at him with calm truth and quiet conviction. The scene captures the uncomfortable reality that spiritual growth begins with self awareness. Before w

The Archangel Michael
The Archangel Michael By: Vashti Graham Artist Description: This painting represents Michael the Archangel, the warrior of Heaven who stands against darkness and defends God’s people. With a flaming sword of divine fire and robes of radiant light, he symbolizes God’s justice, courage, and protection. Michael reminds us that even in battles we can’t see, faith stands firm guided by divine strength. Michael the archangel is the only angel in Scripture described as fighting with

The Embrace of Forgiveness
The Embrace of Forgiveness By: Vashti Graham Artist Description: After years of anger and seperation, Jacob was afraid to meet his brother Esau, because long ago he had tricked him out of his blessing. But when the two finally met, something amazing happened. Esau ran to Jacob, hugged him, and forgave him instead of seeking revenge. Which is not weakness, it's a strength. Their reunion became a powerful picture of grace, love, and forgiveness showing that God's grace can heal

The Choice
The Choice By: Vashti Graham Artist Description: This painting captures the moment humanity stood at the crossroads of obedience and desire. Adam and Eve’s eyes meet not with malice, but with the weight of a decision that would change everything. The serpent coils above them, whispering temptation, while the forbidden fruit glows like a promise and a warning all at once. It’s not just a story about sin; it’s a reflection of how every person faces their own “apple,” the moment

Series Two: Painting With Purpose
Series Two: Painting With A Purpose By: Vashti Graham Artist Description: As this series has grown, I’ve invited several artist friends to critique my work and offer advice. I’ve have genuinely loved this process; their insight has pushed me to grow, refine my technique, and see my paintings through new perspectives. Studying each piece more intentionally has given me a deeper understanding of the stories, symbolism, and emotions behind them. By the time I began this second s

The Last Supper
Artist Description: The Last Supper was the final meal Jesus shared with His twelve disciples before His crucifixion. During this meal, He broke bread and shared wine with them, symbolizing His body and blood that would be sacrificed for the forgiveness of sins. It was here that Jesus established the practice of Communion (the Lord’s Supper) and also foretold that one of His disciples would betray Him. Scripture References: Luke 22:19–20: “‘And he took bread, gave thanks and

The Lamb of God
Lamb of God By: Vashti Graham Artist Description: “This painting depicts the Lamb of God standing before the cross, symbolizing Christ’s sacrifice and the light of salvation. The bold strokes and radiant colors echo His glory, purity, and the hope that flows from the cross. The lamb reminds us of innocence, sacrifice, and redemption, while the cross behind it anchors the meaning in Christ’s ultimate act of love.” Scripture Reference: (John 1:29): “‘Behold, the Lamb of God, w

The Touch of Faith
The Touch of Faith By: Vashti Graham Artist Description: A woman who had been suffering for twelve years believed that if she could just touch the edge of Jesus’ cloak, she would be healed. In faith, she reached out and immediately her body was restored. Jesus said, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace." This moment shows the power of even the smallest act of faith when it is placed in Him. Scripture References: Mark 5:27–29: “When she heard about Jesus, she came

Joseph
Joseph By: Vashti Graham Artist Description: Joseph was a descendant of King David, which fulfilled the prophecy that the Messiah would come from David’s line. When Mary was found to be pregnant, Joseph originally planned to divorce her quietly (to protect her from public shame), showing mercy and kindness. Joseph listened to God’s direction through dreams. Each time, Joseph obeyed immediately. Scripture References: Matthew 1:20 “‘Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to t

Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews
Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews By: Vashti Graham Artist Description: Jesus hung on the cross, crowned with thorns, suffering for the sins of the world. Above Him was a sign ordered by Pilate that read: "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews." In this artwork it is written in Hebrew, but in reality the notice was written in three languages: Hebrew, Latin, and Greek (so that everyone could understand). Scripture References: John 19:19–20 “Pilate had a notice prepared and fas

The Pierced Soul of Mary
The Pierced Soul of Mary By: Vashti Graham Artist Description: Mary stood at the foot of the cross, watching her Son suffer and die. The pain pierced her soul, just as Simeon had foretold when Jesus was a baby. She stayed faithful, standing strong in grief as her child gave His life. Scripture References: John 19:25: Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother "Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalen

Grace Before Betrayal
Grace Before Betrayal
Painting by Vashti Graham
In this painting, we see Jesus kneeling down and washing even the feet of Judas Iscariot (the guy who was about to betray Him). It’s a vivid reminder that "loving your enemies" isn’t optional. Jesus chose compassion where others would choose bitterness. He knelt before betrayal and still offered grace. In that posture of humility, Jesus revealed that (real love) is not earned but given freely

Series One: Painting With Purpose
Series One: Painting With Purpose By: Vashti Graham Artist Description: For Series One of my Biblical paintings, it all started with me simply wanting to paint my favorite Bible stories. But as time went on, it naturally grew into something more... painting the stories and moments my Bible study partner, Lauren, and I discussed together. Because I’m a visual learner, creating these pieces helped me remember what I studied and allowed Scripture to settle deeper in my heart. My
